My local town almost got suckered into that "Fluoridate the water" scam.  These "fluoride lobbyists" bypass public opinon and go straight to authority figures promising re-election points.  The despicable poison peddlers almost got it through, but a petition forced a vote which axed it.

My main misgivings regard the source of this fluoride, which is usually quite different from "natural" fluoride.  Namely, it is a chemical product of the FERTILIZER industry that would otherwise be TOXIC WASTE.  Why pay many many thousands when you can circumvent representative democracy and get cities to pay YOU several thousands to DRINK IT?  Some say that "Big Corporations" don't give a Rat's A-- about you or me.  Well, I think these guys gave a Horse's A-- about us!

This cartoon was of course PUBLISHED.  By no means do I take more than the most minimalist credit for the "Fluoride" measure being VOTED DOWN by a vast Majority!!!  I was too busy at my main job to do more than a tenth the activism I wanted to on that issue:-(

Really, when a town's water is unfit for a CAR due to "Hard Water" (I tested it in chemistry class) why put ANOTHER mineral in it?  If you care about kid's teeth, take away the SODA and make them religiously BRUSH THEIR TEETH, not to mention drinking filtered WATER and eating APPLES instead of CANDY!
